Breaking news from Jo Jones<\/strong> (Atkins) (January 2017)
\n“Following a mini-reunion last year, which was mentioned on Facebook, Ve Chamberlain and I thought it would be fun to have a larger scale one. Ve has very kindly offered her house as a base, which is great as she lives in Pinner, North West London – very convenient for access by road and on the Underground..<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The proposed date is the weekend of\u00a013\/14th May 2017.<\/b><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
As some of you will know, Ve has been very involved in the successful setting up and launch of the Heath Robinson Museum in Pinner –\u00a0https:\/\/www.heathrobinsonmuseum.org<\/a>\u00a0and we thought that it would be great to include a couple of visits to the museum as part of the weekend (a maximum of 15 people in a group is allowed).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
So, our very sketchy plans so far are:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Saturday 13th – visit to museum in the morning (it opens at 11am; we can have a maximum of 15 arriving at 11 and another 15 arriving at 12)<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 – lunch\/tea at Ve’s house from 2pm onwards<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 – possible evening outing to theatre or similar<\/div>\n
Sunday 14th \u00a0 – visit to the museum in the morning\/guided walk around the Pinner area<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Museum can’t do guided tours at weekends, but can offer a group rate for all FSSW people of \u00a0\u00a35 (normally \u00a36). Art Fund members go free.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Ve has a limited amount of accommodation available, some of which would have to be shared.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She would be asking for contributions to food\/drink – details to come later.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
At this stage,\u00a0we would like to know<\/b>:<\/div>\n
– whether you are interested in attending and whether for one day or two<\/div>\n
– whether you would need accommodation<\/div>\n
– whether you could offer accommodation or a lift<\/div>\n
– whether you would be interested in visiting the museum, and if so your preferred time: from 11 or \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 from 12 on the Saturday, or sometime on the Sunday – it is open 11-4<\/div>\n
– whether you are happy for your email address to be shared (am currently “bcc”ing everyone)<\/div>\n
– whether you have any other suggestions for activities (or are happy to organise something)<\/div>\n
– whether you are in contact with any year group ’73 OS in particular:<\/div>\n

Regrettably, we have decided that we can’t include spouses\/partners in this invitation, as there probably won’t be room in Ve’s house. However, as we get a clearer idea of numbers, we may be able to be more flexible about this.<\/div>\n
